The
KSZ8842M is the Industrys First 2-Port Ethernet Device that can be directly
connected to microprocessors for use in 8- or 16-bit (KSZ8842-16MQL), or 32-bit
(KSZ8842-32MQL) Embedded or Industrial Networking applications. The device can
be configured as a Layer-2 switch with the third port being connected to the Host
Processor port. It may also be configured as a Repeater, for use in latency critical
applications, where all packets from one port are immediately broadcast to the
remaining 2-ports, thereby bypassing the lookup tables used in a store-and-forward
switch architecture. State-of-the-art features such as HP Auto-MDIX, LinkMD,
IPV6 MLD Snooping to handle IPV6 packets and four priority queues have been added
to support triple-play Voice, Video and Data applications. |
