Oki's Fingerprint Reference Design is based on Oki’s ML69Q6203 Advantage Microcontroller and on
Atrua or Authentec sensors and software libraries. This Reference Design reduces the time-for-design and accelerates the time-to-market for fingerprint enabled storage or authentication products. This highly modular system can
be easily optimized for specific customer requirements including other fingerprint sensors.
The fast 120 MHz ARM946E-S core (with 8KB I and D cache) coupled with128KB internal SRAM of this device series
makes this an ideal design choice for fast fingerprint enrollment and recognition. The internal Flash of the ML69Q6203
part can be used for fingerprint template storage.
Sample code based on either IAR EWARM (Atrua) or ARM ADS(Authentec) tools are available demonstrating how to
interface and read data from various sensor devices as well as fingerprint authenticated mass storage devices.
The 6200 Series Oki Advantage Microcontrollers (ML696201 and
ML69Q6203 devices) are based on the ARM946E™ CPU core and are
suitable for portable USB high-speed storage devices.
The ML696201 and ML69Q6203 provide a 120 MHz ARM9 CPU along with
128KB of SRAM, 8KB I and D cache, a high-speed USB interface with PHY,
an Ultra DMA hard-drive controller (ATA), and a NAND Flash Controller.
These devices contain a memory controller that can interface to external
Flash, SRAM, and SDRAM. The ML69Q6203 has 512KB of built-in Flash. |
