Vitesse 10 Gigabit Ethernet Optical PHYVitesse offers a complete line of 10GbE SERDES for all types of applications. These IEEE 802.3ae compliant devices have been designed to meet the demanding needs of a variety of customer applications.

The VSC8475 XAUI to XFI SERDES is offered in a small form factor package for X2 module applications. Together with the VSC8238 Electronic Dispersion Compensation (EDC) receiver, the VSC8475 offers an ideal solution for 10GBASE-LRM. The VSC8475 features a slave mode Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) SPI bus and indirect addressing system that allows for flexibility in the face of changing system software requirements.

For line cards, the VSC8476 XAUI or XGMII to XFI device offers an extremely cost effective way to service 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN applications.

Both of these products feature processing blocks that are fully compliant to 10 Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Fibre Channel applications. Additionally, these transceivers provide Vitesse specific technologies that improve system-level signal robustness. Overall time to market is drastically reduced when coupling these benefits with Vitesse’s extended suite of diagnostic tools and features.
