Vitesse offers a complete line of 10GbE SERDES for all types of applications. These IEEE 802.3ae compliant devices have been designed to meet the demanding needs of a variety of customer applications.

The VSC8486 is a WAN XAUI or XGMII transceiver that converts 3 Gbps XAUI data to a 10 Gbps serial stream. The VSC8486 offers exceptional 10 Gbps mixed-signal performance with a data output that features programmable pre-emphasis to enable longer traces of copper.

For line cards, the VSC8476 XAUI or XGMII to XFI device offers an extremely cost effective way to service 10 Gigabit Ethernet LAN applications.

Both of these products feature processing blocks that are fully compliant to 10 Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Fibre Channel applications. Additionally, these transceivers provide Vitesse specific technologies that improve system-level signal robustness. Overall time to market is drastically reduced when coupling these benefits with Vitesse’s extended suite of diagnostic tools and features.
