(NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading distributor of high technology
active components and systems, today announced the expansion
of its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) channel partnership
agreement with Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: SUNW), a world-leading
provider of industrial-strength hardware, software and
services. In addition to distributing Sun's extensive
array of systems, components and storage solutions to
the OEM market place, Nu Horizons now offers Sun's complete
software portfolio including the Sun Java System
Software products; Sun's Java Desktop System; Solaris
(Sun's UNIX operating system offering) for X86 platforms;
and their entire suite of software application development
tools.
Nu
Horizons' OEM customers and their Sun OEM Technology Providers
(Sun's iForce Specialty Reseller partners who resell to
OEMs exclusively via Nu Horizons) will have access to
the complete Sun software product line. This includes
Sun's Java System software products, such as the Sun Java
System Web, Application, Directory, Portal and Messaging
Server software for identity management, portal, messaging
and other advanced web services; in addition to Java Desktop
System (a desktop alternative to Microsoft Windows); and
Sun's complete line of software application development
tools.
