Involves Distribution of Optical Communications Products

NY - December 14, 2005 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading
global distributor of advanced technology active components and system solutions,
today announced an Americas distribution agreement with JDSU, the worldwide leader
in optical communication solutions. This agreement involves the distribution of
JDSU's optical communications products throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico
and South America, in addition to Asia Pacific global fulfillment for all designs
originating within the Americas.
JDSU
offers one of the industry's broadest portfolios of optical communications solutions
for greater network agility. These solutions enable remote network reconfiguration,
speed service deployment and time-to-revenue, and reduce network operating costs.
In addition JDSU offers increasing levels of functionality and integration in
modules, circuit packs, and subsystems for transmission, amplification, wavelength
management and edge access solutions.
