Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. Announces North American Partnership Agreement with AU Optronics Corp.
AUO World's Third Largest Manufacturer of Large-Sized TFT-LCD Panels

Melville, NY - July 27, 2006 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC) a leading global distributor of advanced technology active semiconductor, display and system solutions, today announced a North American partnership agreement with AU Optronics Corp. (NYSE: AUO; TAIEX: 2409), a world-leading manufacturer of thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panels. This partnership involves the distribution of AUO's complete offering of TFT-LCD flat panel display products, ranging in size from 1.5" to 47".

AUO's TFT-LCD panels are used in notebook computers, desktop monitors, televisions, digital cameras, portable DVD players, mobile phones, portable games, car navigation systems and other applications. In addition, AUO's products are represented across the industrial, consumer, medical, mobile OEM applications, notebook, gaming and digital signage markets.
