Nu Horizons Electronics Announces Engineering Certification to Support STMicroelectronics STM32 Cortex Products

Melville, NY - November 13, 2007 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, illumination, power and system solutions, today announced that its North American field application engineers (FAEs) participated in and completed certification on the STM32 - 32-bit Cortex Microcontroller product family from STMicroelectronics. Certification on these products was comprised of in-depth product workshops covering the Cortex-M3 core and STM32 key features, as well as technical training on topics including memory mapping, interrupt handling, power management, DMA, reset/clock control, Analog/Digital Converters, USB, and GPIO.  Additional hands-on training and labs utilizing 3rd-Party software development tools and evaluation kits was also conducted which included software code fabrication and system debugging with a focus on bit-banding, interrupts, and clock generation.
