Atmel and Nu Horizons Electronics Expand Distribution Partnership To North America

Melville, NY - August 8, 2007 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, illumination, power and system solutions; and Atmel® Corporation (NASDAQ: ATML) today announced an expansion of their existing distribution agreement. The agreement now gives Nu Horizons franchised distribution rights for Atmel’s full line of advanced semiconductor products throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.  Nu Horizons previously distributed Atmel’s products throughout the UK and Ireland.
