Nu Horizons has been actively engaged in the Lead(pb) Free programs currently being initiated.

The most recent update from our suppliers is that Sharp Microelectronics of America is currently going through a process change eliminating lead (Pb) for their Memory product offering. They are releasing this notice with detailed timeframes for the conversion as well as the new part numbers for the lead-free components.

Sharp is looking to make the change over very quickly.

Timeframe:

• New orders for the existing lead (Pb) process devices placed after December 1, 2004 will be NCNR
• Backlog for devices using the existing lead process will convert to NCNR after December 1, 2004
• Last buy date for the existing process which uses lead is December 31st ,2004
• Last delivery date for the existing process using lead devices is March 31st, 2005
