Semiconductor Partners with Nu Horizons to Distribute
Products Throughout North America and Canada
MELVILLE,
NY - (September 18, 2001) - Oki Semiconductor, a leading
technology partner for the new era of digital communications
and convergence today announced that it has entered into
a Franchise Agreement with Nu Horizons Electronics Corp.
(nasdaq: NUHC) to distribute Oki's products throughout
North America and Canada. This agreement will allow the
two companies to better focus their sales and engineering
efforts on the telecom and datacom markets, leverage mind
share, increase FAE focus on Oki's telecom products, and
help increase design wins.

with Oki's, will provide us with more opportunities for

The
agreement between the two companies enables Oki to immediately
tap into Nu Horizons' existing marketing and sales distribution
channels, FAE Support and Design Creation Engine. Nu Horizons'
Design Creation Engine will provide Oki with new customer
leads, lead qualification and management, access to independent
design consultants, discovery and qualification, project
identification and advocacy, project support, a registration
program for IP/design processes, as well as design wins.
