Eastern Laboratories and Nu Horizons Announce Distributor Agreement

Clara, CA and Melville, NY - (April 22, 2002) - California
Eastern Laboratories (CEL) and Nu Horizons Electronics
Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC) today announced an agreement under
which Nu Horizons will distribute the NEC/CEL Optocoupler
and Solid State Relay product lines. This agreement, effective
April 1, 2002, encompasses selling rights for North America.
NEC is the world's largest producer of Optocouplers, specializing
in devices for the isolation, control, and feedback circuits
in computers and computer peripherals, power supplies,
telecommunications equipment, factory and office automation
products, and a wide variety of other applications. NEC/CEL
offers a wide variety of Solid State Relays, ideal for
PCMCIA design, internal modems, and other voice telephony
applications.
