North American Partnership to Distribute High End FPGA

- Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading
distributor of high technology active components, and
AMIRIX Systems Inc., a provider of custom embedded systems
design services, today announced a North American partnership
agreement whereby Nu Horizons will distribute AMIRIX's
PCI Platform FPGA Development Boards. Powered by the Virtex-II
Pro, the industry-leading FPGA technology from Xilinx,
the board provides customers with enhanced embedded platform
systems solutions.
The
PCI Platform FPGA Development Board, which also supplies
peripheral hardware reference FPGA configuration and monitor
software, is used with Xilinx's Embedded Development Kit
(EDK) to help industry OEMs explore FPGA embedded systems
solutions based on the IBM PowerPC 405 processor core.
These processor cores are used in the Virtex-II Pro which
is bringing system level integration, or system-on-chip
(SoC), to programmable logic.
