active components, today announced the immediate availability
of their new TCP/IP Web Server Development Kit, designed
to provide a fully integrated hardware/software platform
to facilitate full high-speed Internet connectivity. Powered
by a Renesas 16-bit Microcontroller, this tool kit is
the latest addition to the Nu Horizons Engineering Solutions
Platform Tool Offering, devised to shorten product development
cycles, lower costs and offer leading-edge solutions for
all Nu Horizons customers.

TCP/IP Development Kit is designed to dramatically reduce

The
TCP/IP development kit includes: the Embedded Workshop
Development Suite from Renesas, a MicroNet® TCP/IP
Stack from CMX Systems, and a TCP/IP (uIP) stack source
code from Shift-Right Technologies, in addition to a data
CD and power supply.
The
kit development board allows for immediate evaluation
of all TCP/IP applications using the Renesas H8/S 2329
microcontroller and the SMSC 91C96 Ethernet MAC with integrated
Phy. Executable code can be downloaded into the H8/S 2329
internal flash memory for immediate assessment on the
board. Three communication ports are also available: two
RS-232 ports (one for possible modem I/F) and a RS-485
port.
