Horizons Electronics Corp. Announces Full FAE Certification to Support SMSC Products
First North American Partner to Receive Supplier Training

NY - June 22, 2006 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp.
(NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading distributor of advanced technology
semiconductor, display and system solutions, today announced
that all of its North American field application engineers
(FAEs) participating in SMSC's Distribution FAE Certification
Training Program have been certified. Nu Horizons is the
first SMSC North American distribution partner to receive
this supplier accreditation.

states, "Training Nu Horizons' field application
engineers across North America will better enable them
to respond to and support SMSC customers. SMSC created
its training and certification program to equip distribution
partners with additional technical sales knowledge. This
