Horizons Names Dorothy Tan New Director of Finance APAC
Singapore,
August 8, 2006, Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC),
a leading distributor of advanced technology semiconductor,
display and system solutions, has named Dorothy Tan as
Director of Finance Asia Pacific. Dorothy is responsible
for managing Credit and Finance across all of Nu Horizons
business interests in Asia Pacific; including Nu Horizons
Electronics Asia Pte Ltd, NIC Components Asia Pte Ltd,
the company's passive component subsidiary and TSC Services
Pte Ltd, the company's supply chain management subsidiary.
Commenting
on the appointment, Wendell Boyd, president Nu Horizons
Electronics Asia Pte Ltd stated, "We are very pleased

extensive experience in financial management across Asia
Pacific in closely related businesses to that of Nu Horizons.

Prior
to Nu Horizons, Dorothy spent more than 5 years as Chief
Financial Officer for Singapore and the ASEAN emerging
markets with Ingram Micro Asia Ltd, a subsidiary of Ingram
Micro Inc. the world's largest distributor for software,
hardware and networking systems. While at Ingram Micro,
Dorothy was also appointed in an acting capacity the role
of Regional Controller covering the Asia Pacific region.
Other financial experience in HK & China includes
her role as Corporate Controller with Magnecomp International
Ltd, a leading manufacturer of suspension assemblies and
Group Financial Officer at China Cashmere Ltd, a manufacturer,
retailer and trader of garment and yarn.
Dorothy
is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants (FCCA) and the Institute of Certified Public
Accountants of Singapore (CPA).
