Americas Distribution Agreement Expands Portfolio for Nu Horizons Display Business Unit

Melville, NY – July 12, 2007 – Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, illumination and system solutions; and Optrex America, Inc. a leading manufacturer of Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) today announced a channel partnership agreement to distribute the complete line of Optrex Liquid Crystal Displays throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America.

As a leading designer and manufacturer of flat panel displays, Optrex provides several strengths of interest to OEM's including: small to medium display sizes (from 1.5" to 15"), Active Matrix LCDs, Passive Matrix LCDs, Graphic and Character Modules. Optrex products, technologies and engineering expertise addresses the needs of display designers in the Automotive, Telecom, Handheld, Consumer and Industrial markets. In the coming months Optrex will add fourteen new panels that include several wide format TFT’s up to 17.5” diagonal, and high bright TFT’s, as well as numerous other standard products.
