Evaluation Tools

These are inexpensive units that enable the demonstration of some of the STM32’s capabilities. They allow to program the flash memory and to evaluate the different peripherals such as CAN, USB, etc… using example code that is available from ST. These kits have some debug capabilities – but they are VERY limited. Its flash memory based debug – through the USB port.
These tools are primarily for DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES

STM32 Primer (Part# STM3210B-PRIMER) The STM32 Primer is a fun, innovative evaluation and development tool package that provides a quick, easy introduction to the features of the STM32 and its powerful ARM Cortex™-M3 core. It plugs directly into a host PC's USB port for in-circuit debugging/programming, and comes with Raisonance's RIDE software toolset (Debug up to 32K of code) and the GNU C/C++ compiler (unlimited compiling). STM32 Performance Stick (Part# STM3210B-PFSTICK) The STM32-PerformanceStick is a complete, low-cost evaluation and development package that provides a fast and easy introduction to the capabilities of ST’s ARM Cortex™-M3 core-based STM32 family of microcontrollers. It is specifically designed to help application designers explore STM32 features and performance characteristics (low power modes, clock controls, wakeup states, etc.), but can also be connected to extension boards with hardware features for evaluation of device peripherals.
