portUp(TM) 8-port Ethernet Card for cPCI

portUp(TM) provides 8 ports of front or rear I/O full-duplex 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet connectivity on a single-slot 6U cPCI card. With full Hot Swap support, portUp can be inserted into and removed from a live system without risk of damage to the hardware. Rear access is available via the transition module or the midplane and when used in a custom-designed Continuous Computing platform, this card operates without a transition card to support full front access 12" deep cPCI deployments. Intelligent Ethernet packet processors support full-bandwidth I/O with minimum load on the host processor. This card runs on Solaris 2.6,7,and 8 and is fully compatible with DLPI and built-in Solaris Ethernet drivers. Connection status and activity can be monitored via LEDs on both the front panel and the transition board.

serialUp(TM) 8-port Serial Card for cPCI

serialUp(TM) provides 8 ports of synchronous or asynchronous serial port connectivity on a single-slot 6U hot-swappable cPCI card. The type and quantity of connectors are selectable through either the front panel or rear transition module with RS232 or RS423 signaling being jumper-selectable in banks of two ports for maximum flexibility. The board features intelligent UARTs with 64-byte FIFOs for maximum throughput with minimum system load. Its programming interface is STREAMS/Termios compatible and functions exactly like a Sun serial port under Solaris 2.6 and Solaris 7. With Hot Swap support in Solaris 8, serialUp is fully Hot Swap functional as well. In addition, drivers for alternative operating systems such as VxWorks and ChorOS can be provided.

switchUp(TM) 8G Gigabit Switch for cPSB

The switchUp(TM) 8G is a PICMG 2.16 compliant, 8-port, non-blocking, fully-managed Ethernet switch with 8 10/100/1000Base-TX ports accessible through the rear transition board. The switch provides full wire-speed Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching supporting up to 8k MAC address, 512 kB of packet buffer memory, full-duplex flow control and half-duplex backpressure handling, and IEEE 802.1p/Q Quality of Service. This card enables high-speed communications between elements in CCPU's high-availability systems without external hubs that often block airflow. Its vertical, low-power design increases system density, lowers cost, and provides seamless system integration. It can operate in a CompactPCI slot or in an isolated backplane and supports TCP/IP and serial management interfaces.

scsiUp(TM) High-speed SCSI Card for cPCI

scsiUp(TM) provides a high-speed UltraWide SCSI-2 interface on a single-slot 6U cPCI card to support system expansion or allow the creation of redundant systems with up to 40MB/sec data transfer rates. scsiUp provides a Solaris compatible SCSI interface with no driver installation required. Rear I/O is provided for clean system cabling and easy card replacement.

upBeat(TM) Failure Detection and Control

upBeat(TM) provides heartbeat mechanisms to enable hardware, storage, and network failure detection, application-to-application message passing (API), and both basic and advanced failover and application control. upBeat may be purchased separately or as part of the integrated upSuite(TM) HA Middleware suite.

upDisk(TM) Transparent Disk Data Replication

upDisk(TM) provides transparent synchronous disk data replication over TCP/IP at the file system level. upDisk features recovery functions (Replay and Repair) to synchronize the disk data of downed servers as well as tunable performance parameters to accommodate specific application needs. An elegantly robust and non-intrusive implementation, upDisk requires no software changes, APIs, or recompilation to add disk data replication to a Solaris application. Simply install upDisk in a few short minutes to immediately realize the benefits of data replication. upDisk may be purchased separately or as part of the integrated upSuite(TM) HA Middleware suite.

upState(TM) In-memory Data Replication

upState(TM) provides library of APIs for synchronous in-memory data replication. Upstate features recovery functions to synchronize the in-memory data of downed servers. upState may be purchased separately or as part of the integrated upSuite(TM) HA Middleware suite.

upSuite(TM) HA Middleware

upSuite(TM) is an award-winning, high-availability software product that provides the highest level of availability for any application in any telco or enterprise environment. UpSuite features sub-second failure detection of any software, hardware, or network failure and rapid failover using hot-standby systems with replicated disk and in-memory data. UpSuite offers several important advantages when compared to other high-availability middleware products, which are based on shared disks instead of data replication between two independent systems. A complete, integrated suite of high-availability middleware components, upSuite includes upDisk(TM) for transparent file system replication, upBeat(TM) for failover based on heart beat mechanisms, upBeat Manager(TM) for scripted application control, and upState(TM) for in-memory data replication. UpSuite provides the availability required by the most demanding computing environments from the telco Central Office to the Wall Street trading floor at a price that is accessible for every mission-critical enterprise application.
