support for the Xilinx Spartan-3 FPGA family. ISSI part number IS61LV25616AL-10T,
is a 10ns 4Mbit asynchronous SRAM providing high-performance, cost-effective external
memory for Spartan-3 FPGAs, and offers system designers an outstanding price/performance
solution.
In order
to utilize the Spartan-3 development environment, each user must purchase two
IS61LV25616AL-10T external memory SRAMs, along with the Xilinx
Spartan-3 Starter Kit, which is an easy to use, low-cost, showcase development
platform available for $99.00.
The
IS61LV25616AL-10T is a 4Mbit asynchronous SRAM organized as 256Kx16. The device
operates at 3.3volts, has access times as fast as 10ns, is fabricated using 0.18m
technology, and is offered in 44-pin TSOPII. The device is also offered in 48-pin
mBGA and 44-pin SOJ packages. In addition to the 256Kx16 asynchronous SRAM, ISSI
provides a variety of asynchronous SRAMs including 128Kx16, 512Kx16, 256Kx8, 512Kx8,
1Mx8, and others.
The
device is also available in both 10ns and 12ns versions. For quantities of 10,000
or more, the IS61LV25616AL-10T, 10ns version in a 44-pin TSOP2 JEDEC standard
package, is priced at $3.00. The device is also offered in a 44-pin LQFP, 44-pin
SOJ, and a 48-pin mBGA, with samples and production immediately available.
The blend of low-cost high performance memory from ISSI and the low-cost 90nm
